The coffee version of Rhino Suit is very similar to the regular version, except for the prominent coffee aroma and flavor addition. Also, the coffee seemed to drown out a lot of the bourbon flavor and aroma, though it was still noticeable I thought. Out of a bottle at the recent Oakshire Hellshire event. To accentuate the barrel flavors in our next stout blend, we decided to add 200 pounds of toasted coconut to our signature bourbon barrel-aged Rhino Suit base. It adds depth to the roasty flavor, builds upon the silky, creamy mouthfeel, and emboldens the coconut flavor already present from oak. This beer started from our typical Rhino Suit process— we brewed an imperial stout with the addition of lactose (a sugar non-fermentable by yeast) resulting in a the rich and creamy beer that we all know is Rhino Suit.
